Elizabeth A. (Fahey) McNamara Corrigan, "Liz," age 80, of Barrington, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at her residence with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late William F. McNamara and the late Donald Corrigan.

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Martin J. and Dora (Del Zenero) Fahey, she was a longtime resident of Fall River and Swansea prior to moving to Barrington. She also wintered in North Palm Beach, Florida.

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Martin J. and Dora (Del Zenero) Fahey, she was a longtime resident of Fall River and Swansea prior to moving to Barrington. She also wintered in North Palm Beach, Florida.

She was a graduate of the former Mount St. Mary's Academy. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked with her husband for their family business McNamara Boiler Repair.

A true fighter, she was one of the strongest people many knew and lived by the motto, "If you fall down, get up and dance." She enjoyed gatherings with family and friends and especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters.

She is survived by one daughter, Kellie Polando and her husband James of Barrington; one sister, Arlene Monarch and her husband Ed of Adamsville; two granddaughters, Faith Ann and Sydney Elizabeth Polando and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Thomas McNamara and sister of the late Linda Carvalho.

Her visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 8:30 to 10:30AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St., Somerset, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM in St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Ave., Somerset. Relatives and friends invited. Contributions in her honor may be made to American Cancer Society, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
